Mama T’s Laughing for A Cause annual fundraiser is scheduled for November 8th. After our live auction, comedian Susan Rice will be performing.
Interested participants can start placing early bids today. Bids can be placed by commenting below the pictures and stating which item you were bidding on and stating your bid ammount.

However, to ensure you don’t get outbid, we encourage you to attend the event in person. Final bids will be taken before our comedian performs.

Hope Blooms Quilt
Queen sized quilt, titled "Hope Blooms," was skillfully crafted by the talented Patti Sanders.

Painted Rug
PAINTED RUG – Have a “rug” painted on your porch or patio and never again worry about it flying away or fading. Artist, Deb Ferguson-McWhirter, has painted a beautiful one on the front porch of the Deschamps-Braly home at 331 W. Kings Road. If you are interested in seeing it “in person” before bidding, please feel free to come by the house and look for yourself. There will be a minimum bid of $3,500 for a large size stencil rug such as the one on Kings Road (whether for your porch or patio). A smaller rug will call for a minimum bid of $1,500 and a rug decorated freehand by the artist will call for a minimum bid of $6,000. It is also possible to have such a “rug” painted on a wood floor inside your home.
Please be aware that the painting of such a custom and unique rug may be a lengthy process depending on the size you select. Drying time between sessions is required. At the end of the decorative phase, two or three coats of sealer need to be applied (with drying time between each coat) to protect the project from foot traffic and weather events throughout the years. After careful sealing, your “rug” might well outlast you.
Be aware that your bid covers only the talent and labor of the artist. Bidder will be responsible for the colored paints, stencils and sealer.

Florida Boat Trip
A 4 to 6 private hour deep sea fishing trip with Steve Gregory for 4 on the RamJack boat pictured below. Winner of the bid must make their own way to Miami, Florida, where the boat is located. The trip is available December through March. If the weather is bad on the scheduled date, the boat will travel the Intercostal Waterway for sightseeing and dinner. Beer, Cokes, water and snacks will be provided on the boat.
