Ben came to Mama T's being given the opportunity to sign into Drug Court rather than going to jail. When Ben arrived at our shelter he had been beaten down by life. His drug addiction had controlled his life for over a decade. He was humble and ready to change his life. Ben settled in at Mama T’s and got into a routine of the drug court required activities. Ben was far behind on child support and owed on a massive number of fines. Once Ben was stable and ready to join the working world, he began his job search. Ben found stable employment and quickly started chipping away at his debts.  He was able to maintain employment at two jobs, all while meeting the extensive drug court requirements. Ben had his drug-damaged teeth fixed and looks like a new man. He has moved on from Mama T's and is currently residing at a local sober living facility.
